 Thanks for joining us in the sunset by the celestial sea.  Relax while the wind of the Spirit touches our minds, hearts, spirits, souls and bodies.  Breathe in the healing Spirit of God and allow the eternal healing waters of our Creator to wash you inside and out and restore you to wholeness, purity and peace.  Stay with us  and let's spend time together with our God and Father.  Let us commune together and unite in harmony with our Heavenly Father.    We'll sing praises to our God and King.  I pray this time of communion will bless you. 

I would like to share with you a story about how I met my best friend, the Lord Jesus Christ.

As a child I often wondered about God, I saw His face in the clouds; as I grew older my thoughts drifted from God until I no longer believed in a God of love, there was so much suffering in the world.  I didn't think you could communicate with God or know Him personally.  I came to believe that I did not need God, that I could take care of myself and live for my self.  I thought I had everything life could offer and I was satisfied with my life.  After entering college I wondered about the answers to the problems in the world, I studied about the problems, no one seemed to have any answers.  I read philosophy book after philosophy book.  My quest was to become an intellectual.  I devoured book after book in order to be well versed on all subjects.

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".  Romans 3:23  "The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

 After spending one year at college, I came home for the summer with many books to read.  I decided to read the New Testament for the first time as an intellectual exercise, not to believe the book, but so I could be knowledgeable about the contents of the Bible.  I was fascinated with the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospels and realized while reading the Sermon on the Mount that I was indeed a sinner because of my selfishness.  I saw that I was indeed bound for hell because I didn't really care about anyone except myself.  This is the sin of mankind: selfishness, self-centeredness.  This is the sin that leads a person to do all they can do to be at the top, not caring what evil they have to do to someone else, the only thing that matters is that you make it to the top.  There is nothing wrong with being on the top, what is wrong is doing bad things to other people to get there. 

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life."  John 3:16

After reading the New Testament for several weeks, I felt the need to make a decision one way or the other for the Lord. I decided I could not become a Christian.  As I was reading the New Testament, I became aware of  a glorious presence, the experience was profound, I realized I was in the very presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. I could not see Him, touch Him or feel Him with human eyes or fingers; but I knew He was there in the spirit.  I felt His presence in the spirit.  Jesus was more real to me at that moment than anything or anyone I had ever seen, heard or touched. I knew He loved me and I said no to Him.  I told Him I couldn't become a Christian.  He allowed me to experience His love more intensely.  I could not resist the love He had for me and I melted in the presence of His divine love for me.

"He who believes in Me, as the scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'" John 7:38

I had met God, He found me and He came inside me like a river of love, joy and peace that overflowed throughout my whole being.  I knew He had forgiven my sins, that He had died for me on the cross, that He had washed away my sins and that we were now united with each other.  The Lord Jesus Christ now lived inside me through His Spirit.  He was the answer to all of life's problems.  I knew I had found the answer.  I cried tears of joy I was so happy.  The Lord changed me, I had been born again, he lit a candlelight inside my innermost being.  He filled a void I did not know I had.  I was happy before, but the life I now had in Jesus was so wonderful, it was as if I had been walking around dead before I met Jesus.

"I came so that you may have life and that abundantly," John 10:10

The Lord started a wonderful change in me.  I felt Him leading me and directing me to make a new start in life with Him as the captain of my soul.  With the Lord as the captain of your life, you can overcome every obstacle and He can help you win the race.  He will give you new purpose and direction in life.  This is the beginning of my journey with the Lord.  Come back again and I will share with you again some more of my adventures with the Lord as the captain of my ship.

I encourage you to read the New Testament, especially the Gospel of John, and receive Christ into your life as the light of the world, as the captain of your ship, and as the Savior of your soul.  Join me in the glorious adventure of following our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Please let me know about your decision to follow Jesus Christ. I would love to hear from you!  After reading how I met the Lord, you can meet Jesus too, invite Jesus into your life, ask Him to forgive your sins and He will wash you white as snow, Jesus will come into your life like a river of life and cleanse you and fill you with His Holy Spirit.  He will light your life with His Light and Life.  You will be born again, into the family of God.  Ask Jesus to come into your life and to be the Captain of your life.  He will start to lead you right now and He will fill your life with His Presence.  Write to me now and let me know about your decision to follow the Lord Jesus Christ and to enter the family of God.  You will be given the gift of eternal life and your name will be written in the book of life in heaven.
